Do I need insurance?
No. Union Plus hearing benefits work independently of health insurance. Your membership covers the costs directly, so you don't need to file claims or deal with insurance companies.
How quickly can I get an appointment?
Most locations have availability within one to two weeks. Many offer early morning, evening, and weekend appointments to fit your schedule. Use our provider search to check availability near you.
Are there providers near me?
Yes. Our network includes over 3,500 locations across all 50 states, covering urban and rural areas alike. Search by zip code to find the closest provider and their hours.
What if I need adjustments later?
Adjustments, repairs, and follow-up care are covered under your benefits. You can visit any provider in our network, and ongoing support is included for as long as you need it.
Why should I use hearing protection?
Noise-induced hearing loss is the second most common cause of hearing loss and impairment. By using hearing protection devices, you can help reduce the impact of loud noises and protect the health of your hearing. Check the SoundGear page for exclusive union member pricing on products.
Is there anything I can do to prevent hearing loss?
You can prevent noise-induced hearing loss by following good hearing protection practices such as using hearing protection around loud sounds, turning down volume on the TV and other devices, avoiding loud/noisy activities and places, and getting a hearing test if you experience ringing or fullness in your ears for over 24 hours.
What types of protective devices can I purchase to prevent hearing loss?
From custom-fit to universal fit electronic earplugs, there are a variety of protective products you can use to help protect your hearing and prevent hearing loss. You can explore and shop for hearing protection products on the SoundGear page.
